12 Upcoming Video Games That Will Probably Be Delayed

6. The Elder Scrolls Online (Console Version)

The Buzz: The first online multiplayer entry in the insanely popular and ludicrously addictive Elder Scrolls series, which aims to expand the continent of Tamriel and all of the mythology that it encompasses. Current Release Date: Late 2014/Early 2015 Why It Will Be Delayed: Though The Elder Scrolls Online is already out on the PC, it's received relatively mixed reviews to date, and has hardly taken off with the storm that Bethesda were no doubt hoping for (to put it bluntly, it's no World of Warcraft-killer). Even so, the developer is pushing forward with their Xbox One and PS4 versions, which were originally due for release in June of this year (just 2 months after the PC release), though it ended up being delayed for around 6 months, before the announcement this past week that it won't be dropping until late this year or early next. Given how notoriously rough console ports of Bethesda games tend to be, it's not exactly a shock that the game has been delayed so much, and if problems continue to persist, why wouldn't it end up going from a Janurary or February 2015 date to perhaps March, April, May or even beyond? Granted, given how poorly players have taken to the game already, Bethesda really needs to strike while the iron is hot (or at least luke-warm) and before gamers really begin to lose interest.
