12 Video Game Series That Are Crying Out For A Remake, Remaster Or New Entry
11. Tomba!
An underrated original PlayStation title, Tomba is focused on a Tarzan-inspired pink-haired child that journeys to retrieve a family heirloom from an army of anthropomorphised pigs by jumping and throwing them.
If that doesn’t have you somewhat intrigued already, you might have misread it, so we'll pause to let you take that sentence in again. Got it? Pretty great right?
Whacky premise aside, Tomba’s 2D platforming was impressively tight and responsive back in 1997, with a quest system and unlockable upgrades that will speak directly to players now hooked on Metroidvanias that have become more popular than ever.
Published by Sony, we’d love to see the game bounce onto the current consoles – even if it is just as a remaster. The game is so colourful, we’d argue it hasn’t lost a great deal in the last two-and-a-bit decades, and with a similarly underrated sequel, an "HD Collection" almost makes perfect sense.
