12 Video Games PlayStation Sent Out To Die
3. DayZ - PS4
DayZ is a multiplayer zombie title, which was available on early access for five years before being officially released in 2018.
Even though this survival shooter received average reviews, fans were hoping the PS4 port would fair better. Released nearly six months after the original hit PCs, the developers had plenty of time to iron out the kinks.
Somehow, the PS4 version of DayZ was so abysmal, it made the original look like a masterpiece. For all the shortcomings of the PC version, at least it was functional. The PS4 port experiences so many framerate drops and screen lock-ups, you'd swear they were features.
Interestingly, the word that keeps popping up on DayZ reviews is "patience", since you'll need unbearable endurance to tolerate this mess.
Even if DayZ was bug-free, the gameplay just isn't that fun. Every aspect, be it the sound mixing or the graphics, is in dire need of a polish. It seems unfathomable that the higher-ups gave this game a glance for more than ten seconds, and were content with releasing it.
With a MetaCritic score of 31%, DayZ may very be the worst port on any PlayStation system.
