12 Video Games That Are Long Overdue Sequels

10. Crazy Taxi

Sunset Overdrive 2
SEGA

An arcade gem that you could play on the Dreamcast, Crazy Taxi has always been an exciting spark in the racing game genre. Why play realistic dreary driving simulators on monotonous courses when you could jump in a bright yellow taxi and drift your way into the big time?

Though the series received a mobile game in 2014 entitled Crazy Taxi: City Rush, iOS games don't count on this list. A wacky racing game like this with nutty characters needs a full bodied console entry to go along with a killer soundtrack.

You might think driving around a map to pick up and drop off passengers sounds like the most boring game ever, but it's really not. Finding shortcuts, jumping for extra cash, and drifting right into the designated circle to drop off your fare, are all such exhilarating gameplay mechanics to exploit when the clock is against you.

The last console version of Crazy Taxi came out on the PSP in 2007, and the last numbered entry in the series was even further back in 2002 with Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller on the OG Xbox. That is simply too long. SEGA, get your act together!
