12 Video Games That Are Long Overdue Sequels
9. Bioshock
It may not have been that long since Bioshock Infinite arrived on consoles in 2013, but boy do those seven years feel like a lifetime. Just look back and see how many Call of Duty games we've had in that same time span. There have been two Black Ops games, an Infinite Warfare, an Advanced Warfare, a WW2 game, a remaster, and Warzone. The most we had from Bioshock in that timeframe was DLC.
Unlike some of the other games on this list, the future of Bioshock has been well documented. Ken Levine has talked about the pressure and stress of making such a large game, and Irrational Games (who made Infinite) let go staff and were were rebranded in 2017. Bioshock was no longer a focus, and the world collectively sighed.
However, 2K still retain the rights to Bioshock and there are rumblings of another game already in production. If so, it is likely that any new release would still be some years away. For now, we just have to keep our fingers crossed for the future.
