The Last Of Us was Naughty Dog's final game for the PS3 and it really shows. The Uncharted developer squeezed every ounce of power they could out of Sony's ageing hardware, creating a world in which you can see the fear on a man's face just before you shoot it off at point-blank range. Ok, so The Last Of Us' tense and violent nature won't be for everyone, but its by far not the only thing it has going for it. The performances of Troy Baker as Joel and Ashley Johnson as Ellie are captivating and genuinely moving at times, making the two characters and their story the heart of the experience. Just like with any TV show, the gripping narrative compelled many a gamer to play through The Last Of Us in one intense (and presumably junk food fuelled) marathon. If they have a taste for horror and love a good story, The Last Of Us is a brilliant choice for your partner. There are few games that are as gripping and moving as Naughty Dog's finest.
