13 Best Moments In 2013's Best Games

4. Trevor's Hipster Rampage - Grand Theft Auto V

The result of billions in sales and probably one million of my total views, it€™s safe to say that gamers around the globe went insane for Rockstar€™s latest sandbox crime epic. I was right there with them too; Rockstar had some incredibly ambitious plans and for the most part €“tedious online multiplayer aside- delivered. Three protagonists you can switch between on the fly added some extra flavor to the routine, especially considering how distinct and different they were. The story itself as usual was ripe with witty social commentary too, although more present and identifiable than ever this time around. Shooting was satisfying, driving struck a right balance between slippery and immediate response, the radio stations had awesome music, and the game was packed with extra activities and sights to see. Best Moments- All of the above begs the question; how the heck do you pick a favorite moment from a game as expansive and detailed as this one? It€™s impossible, so I€™m going to cheat a little with this one. Pretty much any mission that has you in a job requiring the simultaneous usage of Michael, Trevor, and Franklin make for a completely chaotic experience you€™ll undoubtedly remember. Moments like destroying Paleto Bay with Gatling guns and heavy armor or the huge climactic €œBig One€ make for some of the best missions in the entire franchise. Trevor himself is out of this world and oozing with a psychopathic personality that is essentially symbolic to everything GTA represents. Basically, anything he does is a riot whether he€™s waking up drunk in his undies from passing out in the desert, or causing his friend to end up covered in poop. The drug missions are also a riot as the game is almost sending a bold message to Saints Row, that Rockstar could have their characters fight aliens too and abandon all realistic roots; they just don€™t want to. Nevertheless, getting to shoot aliens for 5 minutes was a fantastic touch. But the kicker and best moment I€™ll leave you with; Trevor€™s rampage against those annoying hipsters!
