13 Biggest Things We Learned From E3 2018's Press Conferences
3. Cyberpunk 2077 Is Going To Kick Ass
Professionalism aside, how badass did Cyberpunk 2077's trailer look? Combining a seedy, sci-fi metropolis, cyborg street gangs and a healthy dose of dark satire, this phenomenal trailer clearly demonstrated that CD Projekt Red isn't resting on their laurels following the success of The Witcher 3. It looks unbelievably ambitious, but as their previous projects have proven, the Polish developers thrive under such lofty expectations.
Yet this exceptional trailer was merely the beginning of Cyberpunk's takeover of E3. Behind closed doors, various gaming outlets got an extended look at gameplay, all of whom left with nothing but glowing praise for the first-person RPG. Citing it as a melting pot of Witcher 3, Deus Ex, Grand Theft Auto and Blade Runner, it's clear the game struck a chord with journalists and quickly became one of the biggest talking points of the entire show.
Whilst we all expected to fall in love with CD Projekt Red's dive into science-fiction, it's safe to say that none of us were prepared for just how mind-blowing Cyberpunk would be.
The game looks and sounds like something revolutionary, and even though general audiences had to settle with a cinematic trailer, the promise of this game has us almost certain that it's going to consume our lives when it finally releases.
