13 Iconic Video Games That Were Sold With Hilariously Terrible Box Art
7. Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Amnesia: The Dark Descent goes one better than Resident Evil 4 with an NTSC cover more closely resembling the dust jacket of a Goosebumps novel than that of a slow-burn survival horror where the tension comes from not knowing what lies in the dark.
Daniel wouldn't have given a damn about navigating the stone cold halls of Alexander's castle if he'd known that stalking his every move was a flappy, fish-faced gremlin. Forget having to manage his sanity levels, the Londoner would have required a will of steel not to double over in laughter.
Nothing screams incompetence and lack of respect for the source material louder than this criminal misrepresentation of tone. Hell, not once is it ever revealed what Daniel even looks like.
Talk about taking artistic liberties.
