13 Insane E3 2017 Announcements That Would Shock The World
3. Splinter Cell Gets A Radical Reboot
The Announcement: After the Splinter Cell series took an "extended sabbatical" following 2013's Blacklist failing to meet sales expectations, the series returns with a distinct new look in an attempt to thoroughly reinvent the series.
How Likely Is It?: There have been rumblings about a new Splinter Cell game for quite some time, yet the rumour mill seems divided on exactly what it will be.
Some camps claim that the legendary Michael Ironside has been hired back to voice protagonist Sam Fisher after sitting out Blacklist (to the chagrin of most players), while other have suggested the new Splinter Cell may be something much more diverse.
Could we see a gender-swapped protagonist, or at least the ability to choose genders? Sam is an androgynous name, after all. And after the success of Ghost Recon: Wildlands, don't be shocked if Ubisoft makes the series both open-world and multiplayer.
This sounds pretty realistic, actually. 7/10
