14 Awesome-Sounding Video Game Sequels That Will Never Happen
9. Conker's Other Bad Day
Conker's Bad Fur Day is one of the N64's best-loved games, an hilariously rude, off-the-wall adventure with an adult tone that distinguishes it from most of Nintendo's stereotypically family-friendly fare.
Rare actually began development on a sequel, Conker's Bad Day, shortly after the first game was released, but Microsoft scrapped the project when they purchased the company in 2002.
Though fans did get a 2005 quasi-remake complete with a new multiplayer mode, Conker: Live & Reloaded, it wasn't the Conker's Bad Fur Day 2 that people really wanted, and still want today.
Why It Will Never Happen: Too much time has passed, really, and due to the original game releasing mere months before the GameCube came out, its sales don't exactly indicate a franchise that's financially viable to resurrect.
Live and Reloaded was largely a sales dud, too, so the business consensus will be that Conker had two chances to deliver and didn't. Boo.
