14 Forgotten Video Game Franchises That Desperately Need Sequels

8. Mark Of The Ninja

It's extremely rare you come across a game that when it's all finished, you're actively begging to pay for more DLC or content in some fashion. That was exactly the case with Klei Entertainment's phenomenal Mark of the Ninja, a fairly revolutionary take on the stealth genre that saw them challenging conventional norms to make it all work on a 2D plane. Thankfully it all paid off in every possible way, and thanks to one hell of an art department (lead artist Jeff Agala used to work on many shows for Cartoon Network), seeing it all in motion just looked and felt sublime. Klei did release a special edition of MotN including one extra level, but following this in the pursuit of forever innovating they turned their attention towards Invisible Inc.; a great little tile-based turn-taking puzzler where you infiltrate rooms and trade-off attacks with guards and security cameras. They're easily one of the most gifted developers out there, but as they rarely look in the rear-view mirror (aside from doing Shank 2), Mark of the Ninja's perfected formula is begging to be applied one more time.
