14 Beloved Video Games That Criminally Never Got Sequels
12. Primal Rage
If you ever need to show someone new to gaming just how far the industry has come - through developing mindsets, coding techniques and overall graphical wallop - show them Primal Rage. The game is literally just a bare-bones fighting game with a hint of Mortal Kombat's Fatality-finishers thrown in - where you brawl as a bunch of gigantic creatures, including dinosaurs. As if that wasn't enough, one of them is called Sauron, and the game's finishers comprise everything from freezing and shattering opponents to bashing them into the ground before taking their head off with a wind-up punch. Even the release posters featured a giant ape uppercutting a T-Rex, and with one of its tagline selling-points touting "Outrageous stop motion animation!", it'd easily be a title that would benefit from how much clout the newer machines could put behind it. In addition it's also worth mentioning that a version of Primal Rage 2 does actually exist, although it's only a 'test version' and is one of only two produced, currently residing in the Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, Illinois if you can make the journey.
