8. Die Hard Trilogy

Talk about your ambitious games; Die Hard Trilogy encompassed three entirely different genres into one meaty package; first-person lightgun sections, driving levels with branching paths and even third-person shooting, despite it being incredibly primitive. It was 1996, after all. Looking back now, it's about as rough around the edges as pizza that's been flung down the stairs, but when you consider just how many different things developer Probe Entertainment were trying to do, it's remarkable they pulled it off at all.

Each level type was connected to a different film in the original trilogy, and although it's only the first two entries that are themed around Xmas in terms of their timelines, Die Hard - and this tie-in by definition - will always be considered an awesome Chistmas movie regardless.
