14 Best SNES Games You Might Have Missed

9. TMNT: Tournament Fighters

The great debate was always Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat, but what about the game that saw the Ninja Turtles and friends smacking seven shades of shell out of each other?

Playing much like the former, it was a strong competitor as a traditional 2D beat 'em up. Featuring a decent roster of fighters, including familiar faces like the Rat King and Shredder, as well as newcomers like Wingnut, War and Chrome Dome.

It missed a few beats by not including mainstay characters and locales like Casey Jones and the Technodrome, respectively, but still played well. Special moves and semi-destructible stages were a nice addition, as were the sprite-based animations in combat.

It was a welcome change from Hadoukens and fatalities of the time, as TMNT mania was at a high then. It's also the second best Turtles game in this list...
