14 Completely Overlooked PS4 Games You're Totally Missing Out On

If You Already Like: Geometry Wars, Devil May Cry, Dead or Alive.
Not since Rocket League has the mostly-woeful PlayStation Plus monthly offerings thrown up a genuine gem, but developers The Game Bakers' have mashed up quickfire Devil May Cry combat, bullet-hell shooting and close-quarters fighting game final rounds into one HELL of an original mix.
The game is a series of boss battles, only separated by segments of walking with exposition and a Hotline Miami-style synthwave soundtrack pounding away in the background. You'll need these moments to catch your breath though, because the fights themselves are timing-intensive clashes of pure, preternatural skill.
You'll dodge waves of energy, deflect melee-attacks, fire back your own pistol blasts and constantly keep on the move. Character Rider has a simple moveset on paper, but in practice - and with the relentless pace with which everything takes place - you'll be widening your eyeballs and sitting stock-still just to devote all energy into winning.
Challenging and stylish as hell, this mash-up of Samurai Jack creator Takashi Okazaki's designs, synthwave beats and old school gameplay ends up being spectacularly engaging.
