13. Crash Bandicoot HD Remake

The Announcement: After years and years of begging for it, Activision are finally giving us an HD remake of Crash Bandicoot. None of this remaster nonsense: a full remake from the ground-up, in similar style to the recent Ratchet and Clank.

How Likely Is It?: Well, it's been rumoured and hinted at for so long that it'll surely happen, and this could be the year for sure. Considering that Crash Bandicoot appeared briefly in Uncharted 4, it suggests that there's not too much red tape holding it back anymore, and Activision are open to negotiating with companies about using the character.

Obviously, an HD remake is a much bigger and more complicated undertaking than merely emulating one level from the PS1 version of the game, but given the gushing fan response to seeing the character briefly appear in A Thief's End, hopefully Activision are taking notice.

I want to believe.
