14 Insane E3 2016 Announcements That Would Shock The World

8. Assassin's Creed 2017 Is Set In Feudal Japan

The Announcement: With fans having asked for it for years and years, Ubisoft finally caves in and takes the Assassin's Creed franchise to feudal Japan.

How Likely Is It?: This has been requested so fervently by fans that Ubisoft have actually commented upon it in the past, with the party line being that the period and setting has been explored so extensively in games like Dynasty Warriors and Onimusha that it could end up as "boring" in an Assassin's Creed game.

Considering how samey the franchise has become anyway, it sure as hell wouldn't hurt to just give fans what they want: a Samurai ninja assassin tearing up Japan. Ubisoft can always change their mind and the fact there's no core Creed game releasing in 2016 may have caused them to change their thinking, but we're guessing they're probably not going to pull the trigger on this anytime soon.

Plus, with the new Creed not landing until presumably October 2017, they may save this one, whatever it is, until E3 next year.
