14 Most Hotly-Anticipated Video Games Still To Come In 2016
8. Sid Meier's Civilization 6
Console owners will turn green with envy or just wonder what the hell I'm doing talking about a slow-paced, sweeping PC strategy game that's existed for seemingly millennia as a 'hot' game still to come in 2016.
A new Civ game isn't a common thing, coming around every 5-6 years generally, because people never really stop playing the previous iteration until the new one comes out. The turn-based strategy game that lets you lead an empire from the dawn of man is a simple premise with infinite possibilities. Montezuma with nukes, the United States being extinct by 1000BC, the Eiffel Tower in India - an endless universe of alternative histories is at your fingertips.
The latest entry takes on a more colourful art style, as well as unstacking cities, which are now spread across multiple tiles, and improving combat mechanics that let you stack armies within limits - among about a million other changes that only the Civ enthusiast would fully appreciate, so I'll stop now...
... Ok, one more: workers are now called builders and are now expendable. That's huge news for us Civvites.
