14 Most Insane Video Game Dream Sequences
8. Killer Is Dead
Killer Is Dead is a weird, weird game - and that's before you even get to its dream sequences. Because the title's regular levels are so ridiculous, so surreal and so over the top, when you finally hit the game's dream sequences you don't think the game could possibly get any stranger than it already is.
However, not one to disappoint, Killer Is Dead pulls out every trick in the book for its nightmare levels, creating sequences so insane it's ridiculous to think they ever made it into a video game at all. Starting off in a regular suburban setting, you realise everything is decidedly off once you come across a silhouette making eggs on the stove.
But that's just the start, and by the time unicorns and red leather bosses show up, the whole level has transformed into a surrealist fever dream that even the weirdest David Lynch film couldn't conjure up.
The thing is though, these sections are weird, yes, but in the context of Killer Is Dead they just feel like any other day at the office.
