14 Most Underrated Open-World Games Of The Last 10 Years
11. Just Cause 3
A game that was marred by a seemingly never-ending barrage of technical issues when it first released, Just Cause 3 has since enjoyed five big patches to fix its dodgy gameplay and can now be fully appreciated as the bombastic sandbox game it was always intended to be.
Featuring one of the biggest maps in the genre, the third game in the franchise is all about causing as much destruction as humanly possible. Chaining together explosions as you grapple from helicopter to helicopter blowing locations to rubble in your wake is always exhilarating, as developers at Avalanche packed in a ridiculous number of different ways to destroy pretty much anything you can see in the game.
In fact they made sure that even the act of moving around an open world as big as this felt cool, so once you start tearing up the cities and villages the game is teeming with and finding the title's most destructive weapons, you won't even mind that Just Cause 3's plot is nothing but an excuse to raise hell in the title's exotic sandbox.
