You can count the number of good Superman games on one hand, or two fingers; Rise of Apokolips, and the movie tie-in, Superman Returns. Even the latter only gets the nod thanks to how satisyfing it was to take off and land, boosting up into the clouds and back down at the touch of a button.

It remains quite the cosmic joke that we've not had a truly brilliant Superman game, and despite rumours for E3 2016 alluding to Rocksteady switching gears from Knight to Kryptonian, nothing official has emerged. On the flip-side, why not get as far away as humanly possible from the sauntering trainwreck that is the DCU, and put together another comic-focussed game?

Rise of Apokolips featured a Metropolis you could fly around, cars to pick up and throw, and had allof Supes' powers on tapto deploy as and when you saw fit. It played incredibly welland looked the part too, being based on the Animated Series.

Honestly, at this stage I don't really care what 'version' of Superman we get, as long as it plays well, and can go some way to restoring Henry Cavill'sabominable live-action incarnation.
