1. Red Dead Redemption 2

Let's end on something we definitely know is coming in 2018, and a game that has the budgetary clout of a small offshore island. Rockstar's first non-GTA game since 2012's Max Payne 3, it is high.time we saw a return to the 2000s Rockstar mentality of releasing multiple fantastic titles one after another.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is - despite its name - a prequel, showing how Dutch's gang (who you take down in the first game) operated, letting us play as newcomer Arthur Morgan, alongside showing how John Marston first got introduced to a life of crime, and how he and Abigail fell in love.

We can surmise from this prequel status that Mr. Morgan doesn't make it out alive, but Rockstar are already teasing multiple playable characters with various group shots, accompanied by gorgeous The Revenant-esque shots of the wild west, and hints of new gameplay features to come.

Lastly, know that Rockstar have trademarked "Red Dead Online", and even better, are planning on including a Battle Royale mode. Though, how you "parachute in" in an age before aeroplanes is beyond me.
