12. Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom
A sequel to one of the most visually stunning RPGs in recent memory, Ni No Kuni is about as close to what a game made by Studio Ghibli would look and feel like. Sublimely animated cutscenes, characters and creatures you'll remember for years after only seeing them for a few seconds - and an archetypal hero's journey tale that takes young protagonists off into far away lands.
So far, so extra extra charming.
For the sequel, the titular Revenant Kingdom refers to a Dark Cloud/Dragon Quest: Builders-esque construction mechanic that'll see you assembling a series of townships and architecture along the way.
Developers Level-5 have kept the majority of new features to themselves outside of showcasing combat and building, but that only means there are a slew of secrets worth discovering when this drops later in March.
