14 Worst Video Game Boss Battles Of The Decade (So Far)

11. Sauron - Shadow Of Mordor

2014's breakout hit not only netted Monolith's creation many Game of the Year awards, but proved to have one of the only truly unique gameplay features of the last decade in the enemy rank-shuffling Nemesis system. By the time we'd sent a good few thousand Orc heads flying and slain any stragglers along the way, it was time for a showdown with the big man himself, Lord Sauron. However, rather than have this be a battle for the ages with both Talion/Cerebrimbor and Sauron trading magic blows whilst gnashing steel, it was a quick time event - a literal 'push button to win' scenario. Three button jabs was all it took to down one of literature's most legendary villains, and although you did get to have a 'final showdown' in the DLC that was released later down the line, this was the only blemish visible on such an otherwise impeccable game.
