1. Your Own Park - Rollercoaster Tycoon
There are a lot of theme park building games. There's Planet Coaster, Theme Park, and Parkitect. These are all great but when you think of theme park building games the Rollercoaster Tycoon series is what comes to mind.
Most games in the series are good. Just stay away from the mobile phone Rollercoaster Tycoon games. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D and RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile especially are just not worth it.
Your best bet is either Rollercoaster Tycoon or Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. The third entry is alright but it is just nowhere near as good as the first two.
The park you will be able to build in the first two Rollercoaster Tycoon games can be great. You can place numerous different attractions throughout the place but what you'll be focusing on is rollercoasters. Customising a rollercoaster to allow the right amount of thrills without killing your guests is a challenging yet fun puzzle.
Or you could just not care about that and purposefully create a coaster that flings people to a fiery death. You do you.
