15 Best Disney Video Games
3. DuckTales
In a smart move Capcom called on the minds behind its Megaman series to help bring DuckTails to life for Nintendo. In 1989 they were finished, having created one of the best Nintendo platform adventures of all time.
The game puts players in control of Scrooge McDuck, who, not content with being the richest bird on the planet, fancies going on an international treasure hunt. This takes him to some memorable locales - the game's five levels are The Amazon, Transylvania, African Mines, The Himalayas and The Moon - which can all be played in any order.
Like Mickey and his Castle Of Illusion bum bash, Scrooge can take down pesky critters by way of a pogo stick drop attack, but the game's strengths lie in scrambling over ledges and swinging your way to safety. All captured in astounding graphics for its time.
Unsurprisingly, the game's legion of fans has continued to grow over the years, resulting in a remaster being released in 2013.
