Hark back to those halcyon days of 1991 and Quackshot was a huge hit on the Megadrive Drive. For a while there, Donald Duck was a platform celebrity able to give Sonic a run for his money.

Based on a simple premise - Donald goes on a treasure hunt with that sod Pete on this trail - the surly explorer is armed with a nifty plunger gun, a weapon that grows in usefulness as the game progresses.

With levels as diverse as Mexico, a viking ship and a tricky South Pole stage to name a few, smart cameos from Disney stalwarts (Shere Khan makes a boss battle appearance) and a couple of Indiana Jones nods flung in for good measure, this still remains one of Disney's greatest early titles. Please, somebody give this one a high-definition makeover.
