14. Cheese Land - Mario Kart Super Circuit + Mario Kart 8
The Mario Kart series is filled with food-themed courses and battle stages. There are the likes of Choco Mountain, Cookie Land, Sweet Sweet Canyon, and of course Cheese Land. Cheese Land first appeared in Mario Kart: Super Circuit before being updated and added to Mario Kart 8 as DLC.
Both versions of the course have a very different feeling to them. The Super Circuit variant feels much more alien than the Mario Kart 8 version appearing to take place on the moon, clearly, a reference to the whole moon is made of cheese myth.
The Mario Kart 8 variant loses that alien feeling but has a much more interesting layout to make up for it. The more interesting layout does stop it from feeling like a simple upgrade of the Mario Kart: Super Circuit track though. They both clearly take place on different celestial bodies for god's sake, they're not the same track, stop lying Nintendo.
