15 Best Food-Themed Levels In Video Games

7. Candy Chateau - Rayman

The Candy Chateau from the original Rayman somehow manages to be kind of creepy and an epic climactic location for the game despite its sugary aesthetic.

Unlike every other world in the original Rayman, Candy Chateau only has one level, Mr Dark's Dare.

Mr Dark's Dare is the final level of the entire game and starts off all happy as most food levels are, you're sliding on top of cakes as wacky music plays, it's a lot of fun.

The second section is where things start to get a bit weird. You must navigate an incredibly difficult obstacle course whilst being chased by your evil counterpart all whilst one of the most unsettling pieces of music in a video game plays in the background, a piece called "Candy Party". It's just ambient noises from a kids birthday party which surprisingly manages to be quite creepy.

In the third section of the level, you must play with your controls reversed which is annoying but at least the creepy music has stopped.

Finally, you must fight against the final boss, Mr. Dark and his weird amalgamations of previous bosses. It's a nice spin on a boss rush but you won't be thinking about that after you've died for the hundredth time.
