15 Best Multiplayer Maps In Gaming History Ranked
8. Rust - Call Of Duty
Rust is a big old tower of something in the middle of the sand that stands surrounded by a mess ofchaos. This oil yard has seen enough deaths to fill the entire desert.
The smallest map in Modern Warfare 2, Rust offers players the opportunity to rack up as many kills as possible in a short amount of time, making the UMP sub-machine gun a must for this close quarter battle. Skilled gunmen could generate a 25 player killstreak in as quickly as three minutes. Whoever controlled the tower was king of the map, making the ramp up to it the slide of death.
Accepting death was a must for this map though. Sporadically thrown grenades could take down a few bodies regardless of where they ended up, while crossfire ran so rampant that trying to avoid it was a fool's errand. This map had the potential to produce nightmarish battles in the days of the infamous javelin glitch. It also became a favorite for players wanting to do 1-on-1 quick-scope battles, which had their own silent brand of intensity to contrast with the frantic team matches.
A map many still have a strong sense of nostalgia for, Activision would bring it back in all its glory for both CoD Mobile and the remake, Modern Warfare.
