Following up Microsoft's E3 event this year, there were plenty of fans on both sides of the console war that thought Sony had been beaten before they had even shown up - a thought that the company quickly stomped on in the opening moments of its conference. Although it might not have been Sony's most consistently brilliant conference, the triple threat announcement of The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3 and the Final Fantasy VII remake more than made up for any lulls in the show. Pretty much fulfilling the dreams of every gaming fanboy and then some with each game's announcement, Sony was able to deliver three of the most jaw-dropping gaming moments of 2015 all in the space of an hour. I don't think anyone went into E3 expecting Sony to announce even one of these titles, never mind all three, so when they did, the results were absolutely spectacular.
