15 Biggest WTF Moments In The Witcher Trilogy
3. Only In Your Dreams
The Witcher 3 is full of hard decisions, but by far one of the most difficult is the choice between committing Geralt to either his long-time lover Yennefer, or the fiery redhead Triss Merigold. Both are gorgeous, powerful women, but in the end you must make a choice, though that doesn’t mean you can’t still attempt to string both of them along.
Should you chose to do so, near the end of the game, both Yennefer and Triss will approach Geralt with romantic intentions. Geralt is understandably excited at the prospect of this particular ménage à trois, and just as things are heating up they handcuff Geralt to the bed and leave him over night; punishment for the emotional turmoil and heart break he put them through.
With both Yen and Triss done with Geralt for good, this conclusion completely locks him from romantically committing to either. While it is a disappointing non-climax to Geralt's romantic pursuits, it is also pretty funny and a fitting end for any player who thinks they can have their cake and eat it too; reinforcing the fact that these are two sorceresses whose emotions you can’t play around with.
