2. Feather Fetish

While taking a stroll through The Witcher 2, at some point you come across a hut, home to a man named Elthon. Elthon has a unique request for Geralt: hunt down some harpies and bring him 12 feathers. Recognizing the ease of such a task along with the promise of a reward, Geralt agrees and sets out to fulfill the man’s odd demand.

Upon delivering the 12 feathers, Elthon requests a significantly larger amount. Geralt again agrees, and after returning with 60 more harpy feathers, Elthon says he needs just 8 more. At this point you will no doubt be wondering when this insipid quest will end, and after delivering the final batch of feathers Elthon will reward and thank you.

Surely that can’t be the end right?

Well, if you return a little later, you will walk in on Elthon covered in feathers mumbling to himself Buffalo Bill style. This leads to awkward small talk were neither Geralt nor Elthon acknowledges the embarrassing fact of the situation. Words don't do it justice; it’s a hilarious payoff that makes all that feather collecting worth it, and a perfect example of CD Projekt RED's wicked sense of humor.
