15 Famous Video Game Tattoos (And What They Actually Mean)

2. Sydney - Vagrant Story

Vagrant Story is one of the greatest JRPGs of all time, thanks to a unique story, fantastic combat system filled with customisable weapons, and a unique visual style that combines Japanese aesthetics with European architecture. Much of Vagrant Story's plot revolves around the 'Blood-Sin' tattoo - a mysterious marking that can unlock the Dark powers of the ruined town of Lea Monde. This tattoo is worn by the villainous prophet Sydney Losstarot, and is thought to have appeared on his body at the same time as he lost his limbs to a childhood illness. As it happens, limbs for tattoo turns out to be a pretty good trade-off for Sydney. For a start, his measly human limbs were replaced with metallic legs and clawed hands, and the tribal cross tattoo grants him powers of levitation, teleportation, and summoning malign creatures from another realm.
