15 Famous Video Game Tattoos (And What They Actually Mean)
11. Jack - Mass Effect
If you're a murderous inmate in some super-prison, and you know that you're never going to taste freedom ever again, how do you deal with it? Tattoos. Lots and lots of them, ensuring that you turn yourself into a menacing freak of nature that no one wants to shiv, strangle, or canoodle in the showers ever again. That, to some extent, explains the badass tattoos all over Mass Effect's lethal biotic beauty, Jack. The spinal tattoos running down both her arms represent the number of guards she's killed, along with the methods she used to kill them. The female faces on her left arm are thought to be unused concept designs for Jack, giving us little hints into what the character could've looked like. The large round tat on her upper back was added by the guards at the Purgatory prison, and denotes her race and years spent inside, while the droplets to its bottom right indicate how many gang members she's killed. Those freaky skeletal hands just below her neck reveal that she's allied to humanity, and also the ship that she was born on.
