When you leave the Vault in Fallout 3, the world opens out in a beautiful and spectacular fashion. The glare of the sun hits your character's eyes (emphasising that this is their first time above ground) and the Capitol Wasteland stretches out in front of you - the scale of the world is something that impresses immediately. Despite it's grim exterior, the post-apocalyptic world is full of iconic locations and intriguing characters, many of which leave a big impression on the player. Tenpenny Tower is a particularly impressive structure as, with its height and isolation, it can be seen for miles around. Allistair Tenpenny resides at the top of the tower and the building has become a private and elite residence for the well-off. The nearby town of Megaton (a big steel structure built around an undetonated nuclear bomb) is a blight on the landscape for Tenpenny and he tasks the player with detonating the bomb to clear the eyesore from the Capitol Wasteland - regardless of the cost of life. Embracing your dark side and going through with the quest is a dramatic twist and as you remotely detonate the bomb from the top of Tenpenny Tower, you'll be left flabbergasted as your actions unfold in front of you. Or you won't have a care in the world as you reside in luxury in your new penthouse suite - whatever helps you sleep at night.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
