15 Greatest Steam Video Games Of The 2000s

13. Garry's Mod - 29th November, 2006

Garry€™s Mod is less a game, more a set of tools. At first, it was just a silly sandbox game for people to throw ragdolls around and smash random civilians with crowbars. Then the community got involved. Now Garry€™s Mod is one of the most played Multiplayer games on Steam right now, and has been for years. With hundreds of game modes developed by members of the thriving community, such as TTT, Prop Hunt, DarkRP and Jailbreak, Garry€™s Mod is a game that is incredibly easy to get addicted to, every time you go on you can play something different. Considering the humble beginnings that Garry Newman created some nine years ago, it€™s incredible to see the colossal number of people enjoying it every single day. There€™s not much to say on this one, it€™s just a game that you can sink hundreds (or thousands) of hours into very easily. What the critics say: Gamespot: 8.6/10 IGN: 8.9/10 Steam User Reviews: Overwhelmingly Positive (96% Positive) Metacritic: 9.2/10 PC Gamer: 8.8/10

Fred hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here. Maybe. It might be over there. We're not really sure.
