15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Horror Video Games

Vampire Night is a light gun shooter released by Sega in 2001. The game is similar to The House of the Dead but replaces zombies with, you guessed it, vampires. But while our villains may be different, the game shares similarities with its spiritual predecessor through its cheesy voice acting.

The title puts players in the shoes of Michel and Albert who spout a multitude of one-liners throughout the game. In concept, these pieces of dialogue are here to show how cool they are under pressure but fail due to the VAs sounding bored instead.

The arcade shooter also features a hammy villain in the form of August, the leader of the vampires. He gives an over-the-top performance while placing stress on the wrong syllables. The developers must have known how bad August was as they digitally modulated his voice to compensate for his lack of fear factor.

Of course, it doesn't help that the VA was given clunky pieces of dialogue like 'What my heart desired, you are my shadow!' that would give even the best thespians a hard time.
