15 Hilarious Voice Acting Fails In Video Games

1. Chaos Wars

Chaos Wars is a moderately successful tactical RPG released fairly late in the PlayStation 2's life cycle. It only came to North America in 2008, so perhaps that's why O3 Entertainment CEO Chris Jelinek thought 'to hell with it', and cast his own family members as voice actors in the game.

As you can tell from the above clips, Jelinek's family clearly aren't voice actors, as the lines are delivered with all the panache of 10-year-olds taking up drama for the first time, who are focusing too hard on reading the lines from the script correctly to think about how they actually sound. Also, there's something very disturbing about the sound of that Monster at 0:29.

While the text claims it utters the sound, 'Keee, Keee', it's clearly going 'ERGHH, ERGHH'. Perhaps a cry for despair, or just evidence that they should've used a sound designer to multi-layered, convincing monster noises, rather than record Chris Jelinek's stepson or brother or whoever doing monster impressions over the family dinner table.

What are your most memorable voice-acting moments (of the 'fail' variety) in video games. Leave a comment and let us know!
