16 Hotly Anticipated Video Games Still Coming In 2015

6. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

From one money-grabbing title to another (last segue, promise), this year's Assassin's Creed has already placed its head on the chopping block, leaving the fans to vote with their wallets whether or not that guillotine is coming down or not. To be bluntly honest, it's about time it did. The franchise hasn't been the save since original creator Patrice Desolets left for greener pastures, and with only Black Flag being a fun-feeling instalment that was barely an Assassin's Creed game in mechanics or tone anyway, it's left everyone scratching their heads as to what the franchise even stands for. 2015's release is travelling to London for some steampunk-style cloak n' dagger business, and Ubisoft's PR have decided to get right in front of acknowledging the disaster that was AC: Unity from last year in the process. Of course it hasn't stopped them trotting out the same "It'll be the best one yet!" or saying things like how a 'new' combat engine will "Completely change how you play", but it's a start for a company that really need to claw back some goodwill in the eyes of the public. Whether you're done with the series or are fully on board with the incremental updates Ubi put into each release, the fact one of gaming's greatest and most recognisable titles is in such a predicament is cause for all of us to watch every development like a hawk.
