15 Iconic PlayStation Franchises - Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Sly Cooper

Before Sucker Punch moved onto the hugely successful Infamous franchise they spent much of the early 2000s curating the incredible Sly Cooper series, and over numerous (often gorgeous) action games the development team turned Sly into a household name. Sadly, Sly Cooper often got pushed aside for the likes of Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter, which is a shame, because Sucker Punch's franchise is just as enjoyable as either one of those other Sony classics. More than just a fun experience though, the characters and the world of Sly were so distinct and memorable that they helped create one of the most important mascots of the PS2 age. And while the series has been dormant for a few years now, it's hard to not see why the developers haven't revisited it. With Infamous up and running it was simply time for Sucker Punch to move on, and while that means gamers probably won't see another game in this series, at least they can sleep tight knowing one of their favourite franchises wasn't driven into the ground.
