2. You Can Thank Japanese Band 'Dreams Come True' For Sonic's Greatest Theme

Not only did the 1988 multi-million selling band Dreams Come True compose the iconic and timeless Green Hill Zone theme, but they scored the entire game too, all on an Atari computer. In an interview with Sega.com, bandmember Masato Nakamura mentioned how how seriously he took the opportunity, describing it as a "turning point for music-making", and although the computers could only produce four sounds at any one time, you have to admit it turned out better than he could've ever imagined.
