15 Misleading Video Game Trailers That Totally Lied To You

6. Watch Dogs

Oh Watch Dogs, you broke the hearts of players everywhere. First revealed during 2012's E3, it was clear that Ubisoft's new IP was well and truly beyond the current tech of the time, as gorgeous particle effects and tantalising lighting shaders left players with their jaws on the floor. But two year's of hype, delays and outcries of €œdowngrade!€ later, and Watch Dogs finally released as a less impressive shadow of its former self. At first glance it might not seem like too much had changed from the trailer to the actual game, but when savvy Youtubers and journalists recreated the pre-release action shown at E3 under the same conditions in the retail version of the game, it was obvious that the difference between the two was not only noticeable, but quite frankly embarrassing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JcujYbctPk
