15 Most Disappointing Video Games Of The Decade
8. Mighty No. 9
At one point, Kicktarter held so much promise. It was a platform beloved creators could use to build games that fans wanted, funded directly by fans, allowing a bunch of spiritual successors to classic series that had long since swapped creative directors to be greenlit and put into production.
One of the biggest was Mighty No. 9, an intended successor to the classic Mega Man games made by some of the same people, which saw huge success on the platform.
However, that initial hype quickly gave way to some worry, as the people behind the project constantly unveiled new funding goals and even new projects, leaving many to wonder whether they were promising too much and stretching themselves too thin.
Sadly, after a few delays the game came out, and the players who backed it were not happy. The devs couldn't even get the little things right, and it was clear this wasn't going to be the Mega Man game they'd waited decades for.
