9. Rise Of The Tomb Raider - Konstantin

Admittedly, this one is sort of cheating considering it came out in 2015 for the Xbox One, but for you PS4 owners out there, this was a brand new release in 2016 so it qualifies. But with Rise of the Tomb Raider comes another game where we watch Lara Croft get the absolute s**t kicked out of her over and over again. And who's to blame other than Konstantin, who just so happens to be the brother of your late father's conniving girlfriend and the leader of Trinity, the paramilitary organization responsible for Lord Croft's death which was made to look like a suicide - phew.

The battle with Konstantin takes place in the collapsing ancient city of Kitezh as you're surrounded by fire and ice - because it's Tomb Raider, where else would it. But after you destroy Konstantin's helicopter, you're forced into a game of cat and mouse with him.

And while the hand-to-hand battle relies mostly on QTEs, the final act of either stabbing an arrow through his head or watching him become engulfed in flames before falling through the floor is incredibly satisfying.
