Choice Quote: Megwynn Maelstorm: Off you pop, then, and keep your chin up. Sir Dan Fortesque: Watch it! Megwynn Maelstorm: Oops! Sorry, Daniel. Some games don't need scripts that have been laboured over to deliver punchlines in increasingly subtle ways the more you think about them - sometimes all you need is a near-mute skeleton-protagonist with a whopping great sword who looks constantly dumbfounded to get the chuckles in. Yet to see a re-release, reboot or any sort of upgrade, Sir Dan Fortesque's original Playstation adventures were some of the first times we'd ever seen Tim Burton-esque visuals applied to a game, which along with a cracking script that made it seem as if the world was revolving around Dan, regardless of how much he was aware of it. Throw in some combat that hasn't actually aged that badly if you ever decide to dive on the Playstation Store and download a copy, and the original Medieval's core feel holds up remarkably well, especially when guys like Burton have been flying the slightly-surrealist flag for years now.
