15 Most Underrated Nintendo 3DS Video Games Of All Time
2. Kid Icarus: Uprising
Yes, Kid Icarus Uprising got more than its fair share of love when it first released, but that was five years ago, and it seems to have fallen by the wayside since. And that’s a legitimate shame, as it’s a really fun game, and there are genuinely thousands of people who’ve missed out on this gem. If you’ve got the opportunity, you should definitely pick up a copy and play.
Perhaps the awkward, fiddly controls are little bit of a barrier to entry, and not everyone has one of those daft console stands the game launched with sitting around, but it’s still possible to play without. Uprising is a third person shooter, but you’ll find yourself dashing and flying around various environments heavily inspired by Greek Mythology. There are on rails flying segments, and levels on the ground where you have more control over the protagonist, Pit. It’s the classic good vs evil dynamic, but Uprising brings the unique, Nintendo brand of charm to the proceedings, for a perhaps familiar, yet thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Kid Icarus Uprising presents a different type of experience, on a system full of shovelware fashion sims. It’s a little rough around the edges, but warm and gooey on the inside. That might just be all of the monster guts though.
