15 Resident Evil Games - Ranked From Worst To Best
10. Resident Evil: Outbreak
One of the hardest RE games I've ever played, but I digress. Outbreak is a false co-op survival horror set in Raccoon City. "False" co-op is the key because the game boasts co-op functions, and yet you can't play it with a friend (however, that was just the PAL versions of the game). The other characters are just A.I. that you can - somewhat - order around.
It's a little fiddly.
From the get-go, you are given the choice of eight of characters each with their own abilities: a plumber with the ability to craft weapons using duct tape, a coward subway worker with the ability to feign death. Seems like the obvious choice. A cop and Leon Kennedy-wannabe who starts with a handgun. Basically, just choose him.
The game takes a twist on the traditional Resident Evil gameplay, even taking you through familiar locations, but that added with the character selection and the seemingly enhanced difficulty creates an interesting "Similar, but different" experience with Outbreak.
