15 Severely Underrated Xbox 360 Games That Deserve A Second Chance
14. Batman: Arkham Origins
A list on the most underrated titles of the 360 wouldn't be complete without Arkham Origins making an appearance, what with it being one of the most unfairly received titles to have graced systems in the past decade. In case you haven't noticed by now, I'm a big fan of WBGM's prequel. In fact, I can't seem to shut up about it, but even if you're not the biggest fan of Origins you have to admit that its standing within both the community and the wider media is wholly unwarranted - there's simply far too much it does well. Introducing new enemy types and mission scenarios whilst placing an emphasis on the Dark Knight's long-neglected detective aspects was a masterstroke by the game's developers, and the title's narrative is still unequivocally the most compelling of the Arkham Series yet. Now, the twist may have been divisive, but what it gave us was an utterly fascinating look into the origins of the Batman/Joker relationship - one that has come to define (much to the detriment of other Batman rogues) the series' overarching storyline in its entirety. Origins got blasted relatively early on because of its many reported glitches, and whilst it's more than understandable why people would be angry at launch, these problems have long been solved through patches. If you can, definitely give Origins another go - its tale is one worth revisiting.
